Another headache has been added for Vladimir Putin. As revealed by Gleb Irisov a former member of the Russian air force speaking to BBC News what the Russian president now fears it is a mutiny by his generals.
Gleb Irisov, who has already left Russia, said speaking on the “Newshour” show that he knows the new Russian commander in charge of the war against Ukraine, Sergei Surovikin.
According to Irisov, Surovikin was appointed because of his “deep faith” in the Russian regime and President Putin personally. But as he revealed, the Russian leader “now fears some kind of mutiny from his generals.”
At the same time, Irisov called the war a “catastrophe” for Ukraine and Russia and expressed pessimism about the possibility of anything changing in his country soon, despite the war’s “huge losses and serious economic impact”.
