According to information from the American newspaper, Iran has sent trainers to the Russian-annexed Crimea to teach the Russian military how to operate the unmanned aerial vehicles, with which it supplies the Russian army.
THE American newspaper, The New York Timesin yesterday’s publication (“Iran Sends Drone Trainers to Crimea to Aid Russian Military”) writes that in one of the Russian military bases in Crimea Iranian trainers are working, the arrival of which coincided with an increase in Ukrainian shelling with the use of Iranian drones.
According to the information of the American newspaper, Iran has sent to the Russian-annexed Crimea instructors to teach the Russian military to operate the unmanned aerial vehicles, with which it supplies the Russian army. Iranian trainers must to help the Russians solve their problems with Iranian drones which they bought from Tehran, the newspaper said, citing former and current officials privy to classified information.
Iranian trainers are working, the newspaper points out, at one of the bases in Crimea where there are a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles. The trainers belong to the corps of the “Revolutionary Guards”, which have been classified by the US as a terrorist organization.
According to the newspaper’s sources, the Iranian trainers are far from the front line and their number is unknown. It remains unclear whether Iranian trainers are the ones directing the drones hitting Ukrainian facilities.
