Over Cyprus and the Occupied Islands flew yesterday, Tuesday F-22s stationed in Souda with the US sending this way voice message to Ankara as they were not given any information about the specific flights.

Specifically, according to SKAI, the F-22s took off yesterday from the Souda NOTAM base requested by Washington and granted by the Republic of Cyprus in order to participate in an exercise with the forces of the Republic of Cyprus. The fighters flew in areas over the Occupied Territories and also north of the island, even reaching north of Karpasia, i.e. in the FIR of Cyprus, a part of which Ankara does not recognize.

This specific exercise angered Ankara, which had not been informed, even requesting that the NOTAM exercise be cancelled. However, the Americans blatantly ignored the calls and completed the exercise normally.
