Queen Camilla’s plane was damaged after hitting a bird on its way back to the UK from India. The British Airways plane believed to have been carrying Queen Camilla, which was traveling from India to London on Friday, was damaged after striking a bird during the flight, according to reports.
Despite traveling the world for her royal duties, the 75-year-old Queen is rumored to have a fear of flying. She is said to have once sat terrified on the steps of a tiny private jet during a visit abroad, refusing to board.
On board, she can often be seen shaking the hand of her husband, King Charles, as an aircraft takes off.
Charles, despite being a pilot, is very understanding of her particular phobia, however once during a hard landing, he is heard to cry out, “Honey, please don’t hold me so tight!”.
Buckingham Palace did not comment on the incident. A photo of the plane after landing showed a huge dent in the nose of the plane. Although the damage appears extensive, aircraft do occasionally collide with birds and there was no danger to the aircraft.
Camilla is believed to be taking a break in India while King Charles continues his royal duties. Visited SOUKYA Holistic Health Center in Bangalore at least seven times since 2010. The center offers treatments for more than 100 ailments.
