Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, remains in hospital with a fractured skull after he was attacked with a hammer at the couple’s California home yesterday by an assailant who allegedly shouted “Where’s Nancy? Where’s Nancy?’

Paul Pelosi, 82, underwent “successful surgery” for a fractured skull and other “serious injuries” suffered during the attack and is expected to make a full recovery, according to spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi.

FBI agents are outside the house of the speaker of the US House, after the attack of her husband Paul Pelosi and are investigating the case,

“The suspect took the hammer from Pelosi and violently attacked him with it. Our officers immediately engaged the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody,” said San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott, who identified the suspect as David DePap.

The police chief claimed that he continues to investigate the motive of the attacker but as he clarified “this was not a random act, it was intentional.”
