Retaliation from Russia: Pulls out of product export deal – Growing feud with Britain

by

Russia is retaliating after the attack he launched earlier on Britain and Ukraine that they were also responsible for the massive drone attack against the Black Sea fleet in Crimea.

As reported by the TASS agency, Russia suspends its participation in the agricultural export agreement from the ports of Ukraine, after the attacks received by its fleet in Crimea, the Ministry of Defense announced,

A few minutes earlier, the same agency broadcast statements by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, who reportedly said Russia is ready to supply 500,000 tons of grain to poor countries within the next four months, with the help of Turkey.

Moscow claims that only 3% of exported food from Ukraine has gone to poor countries, while half of the loads were destined for Western countries.

The Black Sea Grains Initiative was signed on July 22 in Turkey and since then several million tons of wheat, maize, sunflower oil, oats, canola and soybeans have been exported from Ukraine.

According to Reuters, the United Nations is in contact with the Russian authorities after reports that Moscow suspended participation in the deal.

“It is vital that all parties refrain from any action that would jeopardize the Black Sea Wheat Initiative, which is a critical humanitarian effort that is clearly having a positive impact on food access for millions of people around the world.” , said UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric.

THE Ukraine’s foreign minister accuses Moscow of using a ‘false pretext’ to suspend its participation in the agreement to export products from Ukrainian ports.

“I call on all states to demand that Russia stop the hunger games and recommit to its obligations,” Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

He’s pulling the strings with Britain

In fact, Russia seems to want to pull the strings since the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova pointed out that Moscow will raise the issue of Nord Stream and the attacks in Sevastopol to its Security Council UN.

“The Russian side intends to draw the attention of the international community, mainly through the UN Security Council, to the terrorist attacks committed against Russia in the Black Sea and the Baltic, with the involvement of Britain,” Zakharova said on Telegram.

The feud that has erupted in the last few hours between Britain and Moscow appears to be growing following accusations by the Russian Defense Ministry earlier today that “representatives” of a British Royal Navy unit blew up the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea.

Russia also blamed the Britain and Ukraine that they are responsible for the massive drone attack against the Black Sea Fleet, in the Crimea. According to Russian authorities, this attack caused “minor damage” to a ship. Moscow maintains that the targeted ships were involved in protecting convoys tasked with exporting Ukrainian grain.

The Russian military claimed to have “destroyed” nine aerial drones and seven sea drones in the early Saturday attack on the port.

Moscow forces even claim that British “experts”, who they said were based in the southern Ukrainian city of Ochakiv, helped prepare and train Kiev to carry out the strike.

Britain denies the accusations

However, Britain, for its part, denied Moscow’s claims, calling them “false on an epic scale”.

“The Russian side intends to draw the attention of the international community, mainly through the UN Security Council, to the terrorist attacks committed against Russia in the Black Sea and the Baltic, with the involvement of Britain,” Zakharova said on Telegram.
