International concern is caused by Moscow’s stance on the grain agreement. THE Russia reiterated today its insistence on free access to world markets for Russian food and fertilizer exports, following what it described as a “detailed exchange of views” with UN officials the previous day in Geneva.

In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not answer the question on when Moscow is ready to proceed with the renewal of the Black Sea initiative agreed in July, allowing Ukraine to resume grain exports. This agreement expires on November 19.
