The Russian president pointed out that the destabilization of the state begins with the distortion of history

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree today awarding the title of “cities of military glory” to Melitopol and Mariupol, which are still under Russian occupation, as a barrage of Russian attacks has been taking place across the country since midday.

At the same time, in his statements during the meeting of the Victory Organizing Committee in Moscow, the Russian president pointed out that in many nations, including Ukraine, the scenario of state destabilization through the undermining of basic values and the falsification and misinterpretation of history has been implemented in deed, which is why he promised to put “an obstacle in time” for them.

In many ways, the destabilization of states and peoples begins with “distorting history, creating myths, eroding values,” Putin said. He also added that at this time efforts to rewrite world history are becoming more aggressive, with the apparent aim of dividing people, depriving them of standards and ultimately weakening them.

Vladimir Putin noted that the scenario of destabilizing the state through the undermining of basic values, falsification and misinterpretation of history has been implemented in many countries, including Ukraine.

“There were attempts to do the same with our country, with Russia,” he said, adding that “as I have already said, we put a barrier on them in time to defend our interests.”
