Poland’s government is considering activating NATO’s consultation mechanism, citing Article 4 of the treaty. At Poland’s request, NATO is meeting on Wednesday. Earlier, communication with the President of Poland Andrei Duda had the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg.
“I spoke with the President of Poland, Duda, about the explosion in Poland. I expressed my condolences for the loss of life,” Stoltenberg said in a tweet.
He adds that “NATO is monitoring the situation and the Allies are consulting closely. It is important to document all the facts.”
