“What in God’s name did they do to deserve this?” said Robert F. Kennedy biographer David Nasaw
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will receive the “Robert F. Kennedy” human rights award, for their fight against racial discrimination, but the announcement has caused reactions even from a member of the Kennedy family.
Harry and Meghan’s charity work through the Archewell Foundation does not go unnoticed, and Kerry Kennedy, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, has previously said the couple has always stood out for their willingness to speak out about racial discrimination and mental health around the world.
“They embody the kind of moral courage that my father once called ‘the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world most painfully susceptible to change,'” he had said.

Other people to be honored in New York include: Zelensky and a posthumous award to NBA great Bill Russell, for his lifetime civil rights work.
Robert Kennedy Jr., the son of Robert F. Kennedy, has said in the past that he opposes the move, but still thinks it’s a much better choice than the one they made in 2020 when they awarded the honor to Dr. Anthony Fauci.
“It’s a confusing choice, but it’s still an encouraging step forward for 2020,” Kennedy’s son told the Daily Mail.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been “blocked” from Instagram for some time now because of his protests about the coronavirus vaccine.

The author of the biography of Robert F. Kennedy, entitled “The Patriarch”, Prof David Nasaw told the Independent newspaper that he did not believe the former royal couple had done enough to deserve the award and called the move senseless.
“If you look at the people who have been awarded the Robert Kennedy in the past – Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Bishop Desmond Tutu – then you have to ask yourself what are Harry and Meghan doing here? What in God’s name did they do to deserve this? What proportion of Harry and Meghan’s wealth goes to worthy causes?’
Pulitzer Prize winner Professor David Nasaw who wrote the Patriarch has asked a very good question following the laughable news Harry and Meghan are getting a Ripple of Hope award for Archewell’s humanitarian work. “What in God’s name have they done to deserve this?
