In statements reproduced by GloboEsporte, Kelly Nascimento explained: “Hello friends. The media is going crazy again. My father is hospitalized, they are adjusting his medication (…) There is no surprise or emergency.”
“He’s there for some monthly check-ups he’s had since he was diagnosed with the disease,” she explained.
Pele had a colon tumor removed in September 2021 and has been in and out of hospital for treatment on a regular basis since then.
