An F5 military plane belonging to the “Turkish Stars” team crashed in the area of Iconium with the pilot in good health. The accident that caused the engines to shut down was due to a collision with a bird, according to Turkish media.
In a statement, the Ministry of National Defense, Hulusi Akar, said: “One of our F5 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Stars team had an accident in Iconium due to a bird collision and the engines stopped.
“Our pilot survived by jumping out of the plane and was sent to the hospital for the necessary check-up and treatment. Our pilot is in good health,” he said.
