Medvedev, former president of Russia and current vice-chairman of Russia’s Security Council, made a surprise visit to Beijing today

“China is hoping that all sides in the crisis in Ukraine they will show restraint and resolve security concerns through political means,” Chinese President Xi Jinping told United Russia Party Chairman Dmitry Medvedev during their meeting in Beijing, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
Xi also told Medvedev that he hoped the Chinese Communist Party and United Russia could promote communication and provide wisdom for deepening strategic cooperation between China and Russia, Xinhua added.
Medvedev, Russia’s former president and current vice-chairman of Russia’s Security Council, made a surprise visit to Beijing today and held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in which, the Russian official said, they discussed the “boundless” strategic partnership Russia-China, as well as for Ukraine. Medvedev did not elaborate further.
