Upscale restaurant section, in the Bebek area of Istanbul, collapsed, at about 9 pm, with the consequence that four people were injured. The Istanbul restaurant was located by the sea, and when part of the building on the pier collapsed, many people were in the water and there was panic.
The injured were taken to hospital.
As announced by the governor of the Besiktas Region, “Today around 21.00, 4 of our citizens were injured by the collapse of the balcony of a restaurant on Bebek Arnavutköy Street in our area. Security measures have been taken and an investigation is underway into the matter.”
