Kyiv: New blow of the Ukrainian army to the Russian forces – 80 dead and injured in Zaporizhzhya

According to Kyiv, the Ukrainian army managed a new blow to the Russian forces. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) announced that 80 Russian soldiers were killed and injured by a rocket strike in the town of Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhya region on the night of January 3. This is stated in today’s report of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

On January 3rd, a spokesman for the occupying “authorities” in Zaporizhia, Vladimir Rogov, said that Ukrainian armed forces hit a hospital in the town of Tokmak. On the same day, a hospital official told TASS that “no patient or employee was injured” in the attack.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that patients and the commander of the military brigade, Alexander Seikaev, were killed as a result of the strike. The Russian Defense Ministry did not specify the number of casualties.

Russia has claimed its heaviest casualties in a single attack in Ukraine with the death of 89 soldiers in Makifka of eastern Ukraine. Kyiv spoke of 400 dead and 300 injured.

The Ukrainian general staff also announced that its forces killed and wounded about 500 Russian soldiers in an artillery attack in the Kherson region.
