A plane with 72 people on board – 68 passengers and a crew of four – has crashed in the Pokhara region of Nepal (central), said Yeti Airlines, which it owns.
According to a local official who spoke to China’s state-run Xinhua news agency, the aircraft was flying from the capital Kathmandu to Pokhara.
As Reuters reports, bodies have already been recovered from the crash site and rescue crews are continuing their work.

The plane crashed near the Seti River and burst into flames, according to videos already circulating in local media and social media.
