“Just like any other Facebook or Instagram user, Mr. Trump must comply by our community’s standards,” Clegg wrote.
“In the event that Mr. Trump posts inappropriate or infringing content, the content will be removed and he will be suspended for anywhere from one month to two years, depending on the severity of the violation.”
Ultimately, the company decided that its platforms should be available for “open, public and democratic dialogue” and that users “should be able to hear from not only the current but also the former president of the United States, as well as of all policiesso they can make informed choices at the ballot box.”
