President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that he met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in southern Ukraine’s Mykolaiv region

A video posted online by Zelensky’s office showed the president shaking hands with Frederiksen on a snow-covered street before they entered a hospital where they met soldiers injured in the Russian invasion.

“It is important for our fighters to be able to have physical as well as psychological recovery,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

Zelensky’s office did not immediately provide details of his talks with Frederiksen.

The president also said he met with local officials in the Mykolayiv region, which has been repeatedly attacked by Russian forces since the invasion began 11 months ago.

“The region is heroically resisting all terrorist attacks (by Russian forces). During the visit, I had a meeting on the current situation in the region,” Zelensky wrote.
