The two rockets fell near the ongoing rescue operation in the residential neighborhood that was hit on Wednesday night and resulted in the deaths of several civilians
Russian shelling of the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk continues as two Russian missiles again hit the city in eastern Ukraine today, just a day after the attack left at least three dead and 20 injured.
The two rockets fell near the rescue operation underway in the residential neighborhood that was hit on Wednesday night and resulted in the deaths of civilians, according to Pavlos Kirilenko, head of the regional military command, without giving a specific number.
The latest strikes resulted in civilian casualties, regional military command chief Pavlo Kirilenko said, but it was unclear how many.
In a Telegram post, Kirilenko wrote: “The Russians fired two more missiles, again in the center of the city, at residential buildings.”
The mayor of the city, Oleksandr Honcharenko, confirmed that there had been shelling and called on residents to stay in shelters.
According to Ukraine’s Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko, Wednesday’s Russian missile attack destroyed an apartment building and damaged several others.

Two civilians dead in Kherson
Two people were also killed by Russian shelling in Ukraine’s southern Kherson region, according to local officials.
Residents in the city of Kherson were “awakened by explosions,” the Kherson regional military command posted on Telegram. “Despite the risk of repeated attacks, the locals entered a damaged house where a 25-year-old man lived. The body of the young resident of Kherson was on the ground. The medics who arrived at the scene could do nothing to help him – a shrapnel from a Russian shell had fatally wounded him.
Also, a 44-year-old woman was killed when Russian forces shelled a residential area in Komisani village in Hessona region.
