At least four people were killed today in a gas explosion that ripped through a five-story building in the town of Yefremov, south of Moscow, Russian emergency services said.
“Five people have been rescued so far and according to initial information, two more remain under the rubble. Unfortunately, four people lost their lives,” emergency services said.
Natural gas explosions are relatively common in Russia due to aging infrastructure and inadequate safety regulations regarding the use of natural gas.
