EMAK has completed the investigations and is leaving the scene and now the special rescue department of the Turkish police continues.
The efforts of the Greek rescuers of EMAK to find the young volleyball player continued throughout the evening, as the girl’s brother had asked the Greek team to persevere.
The Greek mission consisted of 25 rescuers from the 1st and 2nd EMAK, a dog and 5 medical and paramedical staff from the EMS.
As SKAI’s correspondent in Turkey, Manolis Kostidis, reported yesterday, the girl, who was under the ruins, sent a message to Civil Protection informing her that she was trapped in the debris and giving her exact location.
Turkish rescuers, the EMAK as well as a number of members from international missions immediately rushed to the scene in order to start the rescue operation of the 24-year-old.
