Eleven days after the two deadly earthquakes of magnitude 7.8 and 7.7 in southeastern Turkey – with tens of thousands of victims in Turkey and Syria – and disasters of biblical proportions, life is conquering death and people are being rescued from the rubble.

Today, while some international rescue teams have withdrawn from the vast Enceladus-hit area and bulldozers are at work – a 45-year-old man has emerged alive from the rubble of a collapsed building in the southern province of Hatay, 11 days after the devastating earthquake, defying all odds.

According to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, this is a 45-year-old man who was buried under tons of concrete and survived for 278 hours.

Earlier today, rescuers pulled three more people alive from the rubble, including a 12-year-old boy.

All three were pulled from the rubble in Antioch, Turkey, more than 260 hours after the deadly 7.8-magnitude earthquake leveled the region, centered on Kahramanmaras.
