The chronicle of the secret operation for the surprise visit of the president Joe Biden in Kiev, the White House presented on its Twitter account.

Biden held yesterday Monday one, of high symbolism, surprise visit to Kiev, where he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is seeking more weapons as Ukraine prepares for a spring offensive against the Russians. Those accompanying Biden on Air Force One were not allowed to carry electronic devices to make the trip safer.

A year after Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, President Biden traveled to Kiev to meet with President Zelensky. Here’s how it happened. On Sunday at 4:15 am EST, (Eastern Standard Time) The President of the United States departed on Air Force One for Germany – where the plane was refueled and taxied at 6:29 p.m. CET (Central European Time)

8:00 am EET (Eastern European Time): President Biden arrived at Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station, where he greeted US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.

8:18 am EET: President Biden’s motorcade headed to the Mariinsky Palace, where he then met with President Zelensky.

13:10 EET: President Biden departed Kyiv on the same train he arrived on. The train crossed the border back into Poland shortly after 8:00 p.m. CET.

It is noted that the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced today that it did not provide security guarantees for US President Joe Biden, after Washington informed Moscow in advance that he would visit Kiev.

“The United States informed Russia about Biden’s visit to Kiev through a diplomatic channel. We did not guarantee his safety” the FSB director was quoted as saying Alexander Bortnikov who is cited by the Russian news agency TASS.
