USA: Two missing after the devastating fires in Colorado

Two people are missing after the fires that destroyed hundreds of homes on Thursday in the US state of Colorado, became known today by the authorities.

After receiving hundreds of phone calls from disturbed relatives, rescue services located almost all those displaced by the blaze, but there are “two missing,” Jennifer Churchill, a spokeswoman for the Bo’s emergency management office, told AFP.

“We are ‘investigating’ their cases,” he added, without going into details.

Yesterday, Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelly said no deaths have been reported so far, which sounds like a “miracle” given the severity and speed of the fire.

At least 500 homes were set on fire and tens of thousands of people were forced to flee their homes, chased by flames that destroyed entire neighborhoods “in the blink of an eye,” according to Colorado Gov. Jared Polis.

The snowfall that occurred yesterday stopped the spread of the fire.
