Eight out of ten Russians support him Vladimir Putinaccording to a new poll, in the shadow of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The percentage of Russian citizens’ trust in the Russian president increased by 0.1% in the last week, and stood at 80%, according to the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center, which published the results of a February 20-26 survey of 1,600 respondents over 18 years of age.

“When asked on trust in Putin, 80% of respondents answered positively (+0.1% from the previous week), the rate of approval of the work of the Russian president increased by 0.3% and amounted to 76.9%”, noted the pollsters.

The positive evaluation figures for Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the Russian government amounted to 52.9% (+2%) and 54.6% (+2.3%), respectively,” the report emphasizes. Mikhail Mishustin was trusted by 63.3% of respondents (+1.5% from last week).

Putin’s United Russia party also gained +0.1% to 39.2%.
