SNAM is a shareholder of DESFA as it participates in the SENFLUGA Consortium which controls 66% of the Operator, as well as the TAP natural gas pipeline.
Strengthening the role of our country in terms of upgrading energy security in connection with the implementation of the investment program of DESFA and the cooperation between Greece and Italy in this direction, were at the center of the meetings held yesterday and today in Athens by Stefano Venier, managing director of Snamwhich is the administrator of the Italian system.
SNAM is also a shareholder of DESFA as it participates in the Consortium SENFLUGA which controls 66% of the Operator, as well as the TAP natural gas pipeline.
Mr. Venier according to the relevant information, he had an informal meeting with the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Minister of Environment & Energy Kostas Skrekas.
The trends in the international natural gas market, in the short and medium term, were discussed as well as the joint role of Italy and Greece in further strengthening the security of supply for the EU and in the emergence of the country as a natural gas gateway for the neighboring countries.

The CEO of DESFA, Maria Rita Galli, and the Executive VP of International Asset Management and Business Development of SNAM, Sergio Molisani, participated in the meetings. Mr. Venier also met with the management of DESFA while visiting, among others, the Liquefied Natural Gas terminal in Revythoussa.
