US Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell has been released from the hospital and will undergo treatment at a rehabilitation center after an accident at a Washington hotel last week, his spokesman said Monday.
The 81-year-old McConnell’s recovery from the concussion he suffered is going well, the statement said, noting that he also suffered a small rib fracture. Due to the treatment that will follow, he will be absent from today’s Senate meeting.
