A hitherto unknown work by the famous American artist Jackson Pollock (Jackson Pollock) was discovered in Bulgaria by police investigating international art smuggling rings, officials announced.

The project may be worth up to 50 million euros, as reported by the country’s National Radio, citing experts.

THE Col, one of the most important representatives of the abstract expressionism movement during the 40s and 50s, was famous for his dripping technique. In this technique, Pollock would place the canvas on the ground and drip paint onto it in a chaotic manner.

Jackson Pollock’s artistic career was cut short when he was killed in a car accident in 1956 and, according to many indications, was driving drunk.

As part of this international operation, several people, including Bulgarian citizens, were arrested, the state news agency BTA reported yesterday.

The agency did not provide a description of him table or other information about the artwork.

“This is an international operation with the participation of Europol, Greece and other countries,” said Petar Todorov, the general secretary of the interior ministry, according to the Novinite news agency.

“To our great delight we have been able to identify and hold this work and at this time our knowledge suggests that it is authentic,” he added.
