Today, Monday, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, visited Zaporizhia.

According to the president’s office, Zelensky “he visited advanced positions in the Zaporizhzhya region, was briefed on the operational situation and presented awards to the army.”

Zaporizhia is one of the partially occupied regions that the Russian Federation claims to have annexed as part of its own territory.

Zelensky himself posted on his Telegram channel a video of his meeting with soldiers, along with the message: “I visited the headquarters of the “Zaporizia” operational troop group. We awarded awards and medals to employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine” he said and continued:

“Thank you for protecting our state, our homes, our territorial integrity and life in Ukraine. I wish you good health. I wish you a great victory and it will surely come true” Zelensky wished them.

It is recalled that the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, will also visit the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant during the week.
