At least 13 people lost their lives today after the floor of a temple in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India collapsed and they fell into a well.
“According to the latest information, 11 bodies have been recovered – 10 women and one man. Of the 19 people rescued, two have died. So, a total of 13 have died. An investigation into the incident has been ordered.” said Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra.
The incident happened around 12 noon when dozens of people gathered at the temple to pray.

The well that was under the ground that collapsed was at least 50-60 feet deep and was full of water. The space where the well is located is narrow and hence there was difficulty during the rescue operation, officials said.
