Inflation is “on a downward trend” and is expected to fall below 4% in March, Putin said
THE Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday that Inflation in Russia is falling pointing out that Moscow is implementing programs to strengthen its economy and domestic companies.
Inflation is “downtrend” and expected to fall below 4% in MarchPutin said while visiting one of the country’s largest factories for the production of machinery and equipment for the construction and maintenance of railways, in the city of Tula.
“Yes, prices are rising and wages are not. Yes, I understand, it’s a key question for the whole country, for every worker.” Putin said, answering a question from one of the officials.
“Solving this problem is a key task for the state. It is the number one task so that the incomes of Russian families keep pace with modern demands.” the Russian president added.
Putin also underlined that the Russian economy has proven resilient in the past despite the expectations of skeptics, referring to the wave of sanctions the country faced in 2014.
