His guard King at Buckingham Palace scared one tourist when he screamed in her face as she tried to take a picture.

The TikTok post on the account “The King’s Guard Official” has gone viral and has garnered over 25 million views and thousands of user comments.

The clip shows the woman standing next to the armed guard and smiling for a photo. However, the tourist probably touches the guard.

Holding up his massive sword, he snaps, “Don’t touch the Kingsguard!”

While the tourist appears to be freaking out, TikTok commenters didn’t show much sympathy for her, writing in comments that the guard was just “doing his job” and isn’t there as an “attraction.”

“These people are not props for tourists. They are literally the King’s Guards,” one wrote.

Another viewer added: “Nobody respects anything these days.”

“How many times do we have to tell people to stay out of their way? Don’t treat them like photo props and don’t touch their horse,” another user added.

While many agreed that the lady should not have put her hands on the man, others argued that the guard did not need to scream at her.

“But why does he have to shout like that? Relax mate,” one commented, while another said “Poor girl. He didn’t touch anything.”

In such a situation “I would burst into tears,” admitted another.

The King’s Guard has strict rules to adhere to, including not talking or smiling while on duty while a British travel blog notes that the men are allowed to warn tourists who break the rules.

“One should never touch a member of the Queen’s Guard,” according to Londontopia. “If that’s the case, they’re allowed to shout warnings at you to get you to leave. If people start acting aggressively, the soldiers can even present their bayonets to them.”

A similar incident occurred in February when a guard was standing on his horse and a tourist tried to hold on to the reins to take a picture.

The guard screamed “Go away!” and the woman jumped back in terror.

However, he did not give up and tried to take a photo a second time. As expected, the guard yelled at her even louder and eventually gave up on her attempts at a photo.

A video of that incident was shared on TikTok at the time and commenters also did not appreciate her persistence.
