21-year-old Jack Teixeira, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, is one of the main suspects possibly related to the leak of US military documents related to the war in Ukraine. As two people familiar with the matter told the Associated Press, the FBI wants to interrogate him, while other sources report that his arrest is expected in the next few hours.

The Justice Department and FBI investigating the case have already ruled out some suspects, a person familiar with the investigation said Thursday.

Jack Teixeira leads Thug Shaker Central, an online group where about 20 to 30 people share their love of guns, exchange racist memes and play video games, the New York Times reported, citing interviews and documents it reviewed.

A top Pentagon spokesman told reporters earlier this week that the revelations posed a “very serious risk to national security” and the Justice Department had launched an investigation into who was responsible.

“We’re getting close,” US President Joe Biden told reporters in Ireland on Thursday, adding that while there was concern from the revelations, “there’s nothing that I know of that will have major consequences.”

Earlier, in an article, the Washington Post reveals that the person who leaked the classified documents of the US intelligence services, is a young man aged 20-25, nicknamed OG (slang for “Original Gangster”) who worked in military base and therefore the leak came “from within”.
