“They are endless hypocrites and lie to their own people and to others, but they say that our country is spreading “false information” about Ukraine,” Medvedev said
THE Dmitry Medvedev responded Tuesday with harsh words to the Group of Seven (G7) foreign ministers’ joint statement calling on Russia to provide guarantees on non-use of nuclear weapons.
“This strange creature Blinken issued a “pearl” that the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is proof of immeasurable human suffering. At the same time, he did not mention his country, which committed this crime,” Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said in a Telegram message.
“They are demanding that Russia give them some guarantees on nuclear weapons, but they are actually hinting at a future nuclear conflict between our country and NATO“, he claimed.
Medvedev further accused the G7 of being “liars”, claiming that they “use nuclear weapons, but do not repent”.
“They are endless hypocrites and lie to their own people and to others, but they say that our country is spreading “false information” about Ukraine,” Dmitry Medvedev said, adding: “And it’s all happening in Japan. Where hundreds of thousands died from nuclear bombings. A country whose leadership he basically spits on graves of her compatriots who were killed by the Americans”. “What a shame!” Medvedev added.
After a meeting of foreign ministers in Japan on Tuesday, a G7 joint statement called on Russia to commit “in word and deed” to the principles outlined in the joint statement by the leaders of the five nuclear-weapon states to prevent nuclear war and avoiding an arms race.
The joint statement also said that Hiroshima, along with Nagasaki, offers a reminder “of the unprecedented destruction and enormous human suffering experienced by the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a result of the atomic bombings of 1945.
