The Turkish Medical Association has expressed doubts about the effectiveness of the Turkish vaccine, saying that the coronavirus vaccine developed at a university in eastern Turkey has “no scientific basis”.
In particular, the Medical Association claims that no data on this vaccine have been published in any scientific journal and that “Turkovac is a simple solution.”
“Let’s just say there is no vaccine. There is a solution that they claim is a vaccine. So far, the data and conclusions from the AD and B phase of the vaccine experiments, as well as the DG phase, have not been made public, nor have they been published. “Neither the medical associations, nor the scientific communities, nor the scientific journals have the data.”
It is also not recognized by the European Union, so one can obtain the certificate.
Erdogan, for his part, called the doctors “swindlers and liars” and stressed that the vaccine was effective and “our invention.”
“Erciyes University produces a large number of staff, invents the Turkovac vaccine, others say there is no such thing. But how deceitful you are. How many liars are you! Since as a Medical Association you know so much, have you left a project? “But you also put obstacles in the way of those who did their work.”
