“Moscow does not interfere in the internal politics of other states,” said Dmitry Peskov
Vladimir Putin’s representative, Dmitry Peskov, categorically rejected the opposition leader’s accusations on Friday Kemal Kilicdaroglu against Russia for interfering in the Turkish elections.
“Moscow does not interfere in the internal politics of other states. Moscow rejects Turkish presidential candidate Kilicdaroglu’s accusations of ”deep fakes”, and whoever gave him such information, they are liars” claimed the Kremlin.
The Turkish opposition presidential candidate running against Erdogan in Sunday’s election has attacked Moscow, which he accuses of spreading fake news just 24 hours before the Turkish polls.
Dear Russian Friends,
You are behind the montajlar, kumpaslar, Deep Fake content, cassettes that appeared in this country. If you want to continue our friendship after May 15, please contact your Turkish friends. We are friends and we are friends.— Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu (@kilicdarogluk) May 11, 2023
Posting on Twitter, the leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) noted: “Dear Russian friends, you are behind the editing, the conspiracies, Deep Fake content and tapes revealed yesterday in this country. If you want the continuation of our friendship after May 15, take your hands off the Turkish state. We are still in favor of cooperation and friendship.”
In fact, the presidential candidate of the Turkish opposition made the post not only in Turkish, but also in Russian.
It is recalled that the Muharrem Inje, who comes from the CHP but left it by founding the Patrida party, announced that he is withdrawing his own presidential candidacy, following the leak of a sexually explicit video in which he allegedly starred. Indje himself categorically rejects the content of the said video as a deep fake and as a product of editing. Patrida will normally participate in the parliamentary elections.
