Reference to need for the West to supply Ukraine with fighter jets did once again o Volodymyr Zelensky, after meeting Rishi Sunak at the British Prime Minister’s official country house in Checkers.
In a press question on the subject, the Ukrainian President said that he wants to form one “coalition of fighter jets” for his country. He added that it wasi for “a very important issue” because Ukrainians cannot control their airwaves.

“I think you will hear important decisions soon, but we have to work a little more,” said Mr. Zelensky.
For his part, Rishi Sunak said that the British they will start “relatively soon” to train Ukrainian pilots in handling Western aircraft.
The Ukrainian President also said that his country’s armed forces still need more time for the expected counterattack against the Russians.
The two leaders discussed sending further military armaments from Britain to Ukraine. As announced, hundreds of air defense missiles will be sent as well as offensive drones with a range of at least 200 kilometers.
Mr. Sunak also said that the long-term security arrangements that allied countries should organize for Ukraine were also discussed. He did not emphasize how “UK will remain steadfast in its support of Ukraine and its people” and added how “it’s important for the Kremlin to know” how the UK will not leave Ukraine.
