Despite the anger at first, the people believed Erdogan who ordered them new houses in a year, while giving them money and going to the funerals of the victims
For second round of the presidential election are now being prepared the two gladiators, Erdogan and Kilicdarogluas neither of them managed to gather more than 50% of the votes in yesterday’s contest.
With the votes counted from 99% of the polling stations, Erdogan collected 49.4% and his opponent, Kemal Kilicdaroglu won 44.96%.
The candidate Sinan Ogan won 5.2% of the vote.
What makes an impression and is indicative of the “worship” of the average Turkish voter – even if they are in a desperate situation – for Erdogan, is the fact that the outgoing (and probably again) president of Turkey came first to the earthquake-stricken areas.
Despite the anger that existed after the earthquakes of February 6 and the blame that lay on the government either for failing to react in the first hours after the disaster, or for “housing amnesties”, the people finally believed Erdogan who ordered them new houses in a year, while handing out money to them and lifting the coffins at the funerals of the victims.
According to ERT, at Kilisan area that was very strongly affected by the earthquake, Erdogan recorded 65.55% against Kilicdaroglu with a very low percentage of 26.95%.
In the Kahramanmaras Erdogan’s percentage is 71.88% compared to Kilicdaroglu’s 22.20%. The dead were 50,000 in this area and 17% of the Turkish population lives there.

The only exception is Alexandretta where the battle was recorded breast to breast.
Finally, in Gaziantep Erdogan’s percentage is 59.76%, compared to Kilicdaroglu’s 34.65%.
