Lula tweeted that he reiterated Brazil’s willingness to talk with both sides on the war in Ukraine
Telephone communication with his Brazilian counterpart, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, the Russian president had today Vladimir Putin who confirmed that Russia is open to dialogue on Ukraine.
After their conversation ended, Lula tweeted that he reiterated to the Russian president Brazil’s willingness to talk to both sides about the war in Ukraine.
“I just spoke on the phone with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. I thanked him for the invitation to participate in the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg and replied that I could not go to Russia at the moment, but reiterated the willingness of Brazil, along with India, Indonesia and China, to have a conversation with both sides seeking peace” he said characteristically.
