Authorities are negotiating with a man who allegedly took hostages at a synagogue in Coleville, Texas, during Saturday’s live broadcast, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper.
Coleville police posted a message on Twitter earlier today stating that they were conducting SWAT operations (with special weapons and tactics, for extremely dangerous situations) on the building block of the Beth Israel Synagogue, and said that all residents in the immediate vicinity with the synagogue they were removed from their homes.

No injuries were reported inside the building, according to the Dallas Morning News.
“Coleville Police Officer Dara Nelson said negotiators had contacted someone inside the synagogue who they thought was a suspect,” the Dallas Morning News reported.
The man was heard having a one-on-one conversation, in what appeared to be a phone call during the live broadcast of the Sabbath service at the Jewish synagogue. Live streaming was stopped at around 3 p.m. Eastern time (22.00 Greek time).

The Beth Israel Synagogue was founded in 1999.
Coleville is a suburb of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
