THE Swedish activist for climate Greta Thunberg announced today that it is ending the flagship school her strikewhich started in 2018, as well graduates today from school of at Swedenwhile he blamed Russia for the collapse of the Kakhovka dam in Ukraine, calling it an act of “homicide”.

“Today I graduate from high school, which means I will no longer be able to do a school climate strike. So this is my last school strike,” the 20-year-old Swede tweeted.

The initiator of the Fridays for Future movement, however, intends to participate in other forms of demonstrations on Fridays, as she clarifies.

“I will continue to protest on Fridays, even though it will no longer technically be a ‘school strike,'” he said.

“When I went on strike in 2018, I could never have imagined that it would lead to anything,” Thunberg commented today.

“In 2019, millions of young people” did not go to school “because of the climate” and “flooded the streets in more than 180 countries”, as he describes.

In addition to her climate strikes, the young activist regularly attacks politicians and governments for their alleged inaction on climate issues.

Regarding the war in Ukraine and the destruction of the dam for which Kiev and Moscow blame each other, Thunberg said: “This ecocide as a continuation of Russia’s unprovoked total invasion of Ukraine is yet another brutality that leaves one speechless the world. Our eyes are once again on Russia to be held accountable for these crimes,” he tweeted yesterday.

Ukrainian President Zelensky responded to Thunberg via Twitter, saying: “Thank you for your position and for standing up for the truth @GretaThunberg! (Russia) must be held accountable for the harm it has done to the world, life and nature!”.
