Italian special forces have been mobilized to free the crew of a Turkish merchant ship, which irregular migrants tried to take control of
Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said a while ago that men of the special forces of the Italian army, the economic police and the navy were mobilized to prevent the piracy of a Turkish merchant ship off the coast of Naples.
#GalataSeaways is reportedly the Turkish ship hijacked by immigrants in the Mediterranean Sea.
This is the route of the ship, headed towards Montpellier (France) and redirected to Naples Gulf.

More specifically, fifteen illegal immigrants allegedly tried to gain control of the Turkish merchant ship Galata Seaways. The crew, consisting of 22 members, managed to alert the operations center in Ankara, which contacted the Italian authorities requesting immediate assistance.
The ship was originally headed for France, but is now near the Italian city of Sorrento. According to the information so far, some of the immigrants threatened the crew with a knife and the whole operation is expected to be completed soon.
