A very large number of our fighters was killed», added Prigozhin in an audio message broadcast by his press service, promising to “respond” to these attacks which were ordered according to Prigozhin by the Russian defense minister himself. “The evil brought by the country’s military leadership it has to stop” he declared, taking aim at Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as well as Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff.
“Those who killed our lads, who destroyed the lives of many tens of thousands of Russian soldiers, will be punished”, he said.

“We are 25,000 and we will determine why chaos reigns in the country (…) Our strategic reserves are the entire army and the entire country,” Prigozhin said before calling on “all those who want to join us” to “put an end to this disorder”. Wagner’s boss said he was leading a “march for justice” and not one “coup”.
The Russian Ministry of Defense immediately denied that he bombed Wagner positions.
“Messages and videos posted on social media by Prigozhin about alleged “strikes by the Russian Ministry of Defense in the rear of the Wagner paramilitary group” do not correspond to reality and are a provocation”the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The Russian army is retreating in many parts of southern and eastern Ukraine, the head of the mercenary organization Wagner said earlier. contradicting Kremlin assurances that Kiev’s counterattack is unsuccessful.
