The Russian army is now trying to stop Prigozhin’s “advance” towards Moscow in the Voronezh region
The Russian president Putinin a taped speech this morning, said the Russian starter is ready to defend the country against the insurgency of Prigozhin and his paramilitary mercenary organization Wagnerwhich he characterized as “total betrayal and an attempt to overthrow the regime from within”.
A bit later, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said today that his forces are ready to help suppress Prigozhin’s rebellion, but also to use “harsh methods” if necessary..
Meanwhile, the Russian army is now trying to stop Prigozhin’s “advance” towards Moscow in the Voronezh region, a city in which Wagner controls Russian military installations.

Kadyrov announced that his troops are already heading to the region to assist the Russian army.

The Chechen leader, in a statement, characterized the behavior of Prigozhin – a former ally of Putin in the war in Ukraine – as “a backstab”, a phrase that Putin also used in his speech, and called on Russian soldiers not to accept any ” provocative actions”.
