One person was killed and several injured in a roller coaster accident at the Grona Lund amusement park in the Swedish capital on Sunday, the TT news agency reported, citing a spokesman for the park, according to Reuters.

Public broadcaster SVT, citing eyewitnesses, said the park’s Jetline roller coaster partially derailed during a ride.

The accident happened at Grona Lund, the oldest amusement park in Sweden as it was founded in 1883 and even Hollywood stars have passed through the facilities.

“Grona Lund Park’s Jetline coaster partially derailed during a ride,” public broadcaster SVT reported, citing eyewitnesses.

On its website, the park said: “A serious accident has occurred on the Jetline. We are cooperating with the rescue services. The park is currently closed.”
