The Russian general Sergey Surovikin, called and “General of Armageddon”, he was a secret VIP member of Wagnerreports CNN citing relevant documents obtained by it.

The documents show that Surovikin, who is rumored to have been arrested, had staff registration number in Wagner. In fact, Surovikin is listed along with at least others 30 senior Russian military and officials of the information, who are reportedly also VIP members of Wagner.

Surovikin has not appeared in public since last Saturday, when a video was released in which he pleaded Wagner’s “boss.”Yevgeny Prigozhin, to stop his rebellion. His whereabouts since then remain unknown, with the Kremlin referring to the Ministry of Defense for its fate.

THE Surovikin he is a decorated commander of the Russian Air Force and took the nicknamei “Armageddon General” for his ruthless tactics in Syria where he bombed civilians.

Wagner did not respond to CNN’s request for comment. It is not clear what does VIP membership entail? to the paramilitary organization, and if there are financial benefits.

Surovikin was known to have ties to the mercenary groupbut the documents raise questions about the closeness of senior members of the Russian military and Wagner.

Information states that in Moscow there are purges of officers and officials who supported Prigozhin, while the conflict in Ukraine continues.
