The Israeli Defense Minister Joab Gallant announced on Wednesday that Israeli forces had achieved successes in Jenin, the Palestinian city in the northern West Bank, but they may need to conduct “one to two additional operations” there to “fully tame the terrorist situation.”

Galland stated that the greatest victory of the Israeli military was the destruction and removal of the terrorist infrastructure and huge amounts of weapons.

He added that “the next biggest victory of the Israeli army was to drive the Jenin terrorists into retreat and make them go into hiding, which negates their narrative that they are brave fighters that could really challenge Israeli forces.”

At the same time, the Israeli Defense Minister acknowledged that “since half or more than 300 terrorists in Jenin have gone into hiding or fled, additional operations may be required to deal with them.”

They were full from this morning, Wednesday the streets of Jenin, as thousands of Palestinians came out to pray for those killed during Israel’s military operation.

Twelve Palestinians and one Israeli soldier died since last Monday. Their bodies are carried through the streets, and crowds of people follow while, according to the BBC, some fighters started shooting in the air.
