Facing a prison sentence is Greta Thunberg, the young activist who became famous for her powerful climate actions as a child and is now 20 years old.

Tuberg was arrested on June 19 on the sidelines of an activist demonstration in Malmo, Sweden for “disloyalty to the authorities” when he refused to obey police instructions and leave the scene.

The activist took part in the protest organized by the environmental activist group “Ta tättät fÃ¥rðin” (Reclaim the future) as protesters tried to block entry and exit to the port of Malmö to protest the use of fossil fuels.

Today, the prosecutor announced that she has been charged and may even be sentenced to prison.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Tuberg is most likely to be fined.

The charge can carry a maximum of six months in prison, but prosecutor Charlotte Ottesen told Swedish newspaper Sydsvenskan that it usually carries a fine.

The hearing at Malmö District Court is scheduled for the end of July.
