The special workers in its wild nature California looking for one sea otter which is aggressive and scares surfers, trying to steal their boards.

In the video featurethe female otter is seen forcefully grabbing a surfboard from a young man on the Santa Cruz coast and then lying on top of it.

The man tries to get the board back but to no avail. The otter insists and won’t let the surfer take the board.

He is clearly visible afraid and startled by the incident.

The otter also recently attacked a woman on a surfboard, according to another tweet.

“Literally the day before, I filmed the surfer who was so terrified by it, he dropped his board and swam back to shore without it,” said photographer Mark Woodward who captured the images and video of the otter.

San Jose State University marine professor David Ebert warned that the animals are “actually quite aggressive” and “not as cute and cuddly as people think.”

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife reviewed and attributed the behavior to probable hormonal surges or because of people who fed her.

The state agency said the otter, now 5 years old, born in captivity “under very unusual circumstances after her mother was removed from the wild for aggressive behaviour.

“She gave birth to the otter in captivity and cared for her until weaning, when she was released into the wild and mom was transferred to a long-term care facility,” said sea otter biologist Colleen Young.

Once the otter is captured, the veterinary staff at the Monterey Bay Aquarium will check it out.

No injuries have been reported of the surreal interactions between otter and humans so far.

However, a sign was posted in the area warning of “aggressive sea otter…enter water at your own risk,” according to the photo Woodward tweeted.
