The opposition has been calling for the resignation of the Kurti government and the announcement of early parliamentary elections for a month. The Prime Minister of Kosovo is accused by the opposition parties that by handling the crisis in northern Kosovo it caused tension in the relations with the western allies and mainly with the USA. The backlash against Kurti intensified in recent days when taped conversations of the vice president of the ruling party appeared on social media “Self-Determination” Mimosa Kusari-Lilieu with her vice president “Serbian List” Slavko Simic. In these talks, agreements are made, in essence a bargain with trade-offs, so that the representatives of the Serbs in the Parliament vote for various government bills. The opposition considers Albin Kurti’s attitude dishonest who publicly characterizes the political representatives of the Serbs as criminals and frauds while he is constantly in contact with them and negotiates. The authenticity of the taped conversations is not confirmed by either side.
